The Podcast
This incredible stage event helped to encourage women cancer survivors to share their stories with other people either verbally or in written form, and believe that cancer healing can be achieved by supporting cancer patients. The nonprofit organization encouraged women cancer survivors to use their gifts of experience and time to support other women who are where they once were in their cancer journeys. Survivors 2nd Act is a continuously expanding collection of essays by cancer survivors on cancer survivorship. Survivors 2nd Act also features a segment called Survivors Stories from the Stage, which is a professionally produced stage performance where a dozen women read their five-minute cancer stories. The impact of these two platforms is inspiring, empowering, and celebratory for all.

SURVIVORville -
The Event
From 2013 to 2018, SURVIVORville was a three-day event held in Nashville, Tennessee. SURVIVORville welcomed nearly 5000 women from 49 states and 7 countries. SURVIVORville was a place where women learned to navigate the muddy waters of survivorship – and have quite the fun! It’s where they acquired the tools to help them re-build their lives after cancer. This much needed platform allowed women survivors to network with one another, replacing the feeling of isolation with a sense of community. It provided education, motivation and life application for every step of survivorship, and it equiped survivors with the necessary resources to create their own survivorship care plan and celebrate this new act of their lives..
